The Ruby Jubilee of 1992 has been overshadowed by the other landmarks, but was normally meant to be a lower-important affair, with just a handful of celebratory activities prepared, such as a ‘Great Event’ at Earls Court in Oct featuring Dame Vera Lynn, Darcey Bussell and Sir Cliff Richard.

The Victorians experienced a fascination with celestial themes, and stars began to look in jewellery from the 1860s onwards. The illustration down below, just one of a matched pair, dates from all around 1890, and is built in silver and gold, with aged cut diamonds to the fore.
As anniversaries go, significantly in marriages, the ruby marriage is especially considerable, and is generally marked by the paying for of a piece of ruby jewelry.
Rubies, like sapphires, are members of the Corundum loved ones, really long lasting and can be worn for a lifetime. The lustrous, deep purple stones are intended to symbolise enthusiasm, but also are affiliated with wealth and prosperity!
A person intriguing phenomenon is that the two sapphires and rubies, when lower en cabochon (a rounded convex form), can show a 6 pointed star.
